CM Bhagwant Mann meets farmers union
Chandigarh, October 6: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with Punjab’s farmers' union on Thursday evening.
In the meeting, many issues and demands of the farmers union have been discussed.
Meanwhile, the farmers' union also participated with full enthusiasm and discussed their issues and demands with the Punjab cabinet.

Farmers union also suggested many changes to be made in farming policy and Punjab government assured to discuss the same with other members of Cabinet.
Some of the important and major decisions taken in the meeting between farmers and CM Mann are:
Paddy crop grain will be brought
All sugar mills to run from November 5
Payment will be made directly to sowers
The stubble burning will be fixed
There will be no cases on farmers who burn stubble
All the money from the groundnut crop will be given to the farmers
Announcement of 8 hours power supply to farms
The government will take a decision regarding loans to farmers
Families of deceased farmers will be given jobs and compensation
Animal fairs will start from October 15
