CM Amarinder Singh flags off Corona Mobile Testing Clinic & Ambulance
The Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday flagged off a well-equipped Corona Testing Mobile Clinic & Ambulance donated by Vikramjit Sahney Chairman, Sun Foundation & International President World Punjabi Organization for State of Punjab. Explaining the salient features of the mobile clinic to the Chief Minister, Vikramjit Singh Sahni said that the mobile clinic has contact less thermal testing with nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab tests. The fully air conditioned mobile unit also has separate Ambulance zone to evacuate critical patients. It has the potential for sampling of 1000 people per day at doorsteps of patients especially in Rural & Semi-Urban Areas to achieve Mission Fateh Punjab. The CM pointed out that this mobile testing bus is need of the hour and would cover remote and far flung areas so as to ensure that people inhabiting these regions have access to the testing apparatus which is necessary to identify the people infected in order to break the chain of COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, at present, the State Government has capacity to conduct 24000 tests per day and the target is to achieve the milestone of 30,000 tests by next week.
