China: We never provoked any war or conflict & never occupied an inch of other country's territory
Amidst China and India’s border tension, Colonel Aman Anand, PRO, Indian Army had said that China has provoked the war, saying, “Indian troops pre-empted this PLA activity on the Southern Bank of Pangong Tso Lake, undertook measures to strengthen our positions and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on the ground.”

The Indian Army also stated that “So far, there has been no physical clash between Indian and Chinese troops near the southern bank of Pangong Tso in Eastern Ladakh.”

In answer to these statements, Hua Chunying, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson said that, “China never provoked any war or conflict and never occupied an inch of other country's territory. China border troops never crossed the line. Perhaps there are some communication issues. He added, “I think both sides should stick to facts and have goodwill in maintaining the bilateral relations & take concrete measures to safeguard peace, tranquility along the border.”
