CSK vs MI, IPL 2020: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 witnessed a great opening match of the tournament as Ambati Rayudu and Faf Du Plessis led Chennai Super Kings to a great victory against Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Chennai Super Kings-led by MS Dhoni continued its streak of winning the first match of its IPL campaign. Be it 2018, 2019, or 2020, CSK has won its opening match.
Mumbai Indians started with great intent as Quinton De Kock and skipper Rohit Sharma were looking aggressive. However, Piyush Chawla got the breakthrough when he dismissed Rohit Sharma (12). Soon after the skipper's wicket, De Kock, who was in touch, went back to pavilion too after scoring 33 runs.
Afterward, the team struggled to cross even 20-mark, but Saurabh Tiwary played a phenomenon as he scored 42 runs including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Still, Mumbai Indians scored 162 runs.

Chasing 162, the openers of Chennai Super Kings, Shane Watson (4), and Murli Vijay (1) were trapped in lbw by Trent Boult and James Pattinson, respectively.
At once, the fans were sad as CSK lost two big fishes in the beginning. But, then came Faf Du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu. Rayudu took charge of the game and scored 71 runs off just 48 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Jadeja also played a cameo of 10 runs off 5 balls. Sam Curran scored 18 runs off 6 balls.
Du Plessis scored an unbeatable inning of 58 runs out of 44 balls including 6 boundaries. Sam Curran was named Man of the Match for superb performance with both bat and bowl.
