Chandigarh MC election result 2021 Highlights: Aam Aadmi Party emerged as the leading party while BJP finished second as the results for Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections were declared on Monday. Meanwhile, BJP's sitting mayor Ravi Kant Sharma was defeated.
60.45 percent turnout was witnessed during the 35-ward Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections on Friday. The number of eligible voters was 6,33,475. It was 0.5 percent higher than the 2016 elections.

14:09 pm: BJP candidate Saurabh Joshi has won from ward number 12.
13:49 pm: Congress candidates Jasbir Singh and Gurcharanjit Singh won from ward numbers 24 and 20, respectively. BJP candidate Harjeet Singh won from ward number 8.
13:23 pm: AAP candidate Poonam won from ward number 16. With this, AAP has won a total of 14 seats and heading towards the majority. BJP candidate Nirmal Devi won from ward number 28.
13:01 pm: AAP candidates Prem Lata, Neha, and Suman Devi from ward numbers 23, 19, and 4, respectively. BJP's Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Manoj Kumar, and Jasmanpreet Singh won from Ward numbers 35, 7, and 32 respectively.
12:44 pm: BJP candidate Anup Gupta won by 167 votes from ward number 11.
12:38 pm: BJP's Sarbjit Kaur won from ward number 6 while Congress candidates Harpreet Kaur Babla and Gurpreet Singh won from ward number 10 and 34, respectively. AAP candidate Ram Chandra Yadav won from ward number 15.

12:18 pm: BJP candidate Dalip Sharma won by 90 votes. Congress candidate Gunax Rawat won from Ward number 27.

10:32 am: AAP candidate Dhamnpreet Singh won from Ward number 17 by 828 votes. BJP candidate Kanwarjeet Singh Rana wins from Ward number 33.
10:29 am: BJP candidate Bimla Dubey won from Ward number 9. AAP candidate won from Ward number 21.
10:27 am: Congress candidate Darshna Rani, wife of former Mayor Gurcharan Dass Kala, wins from Ward number 5. Congress candidate Sachin Gale won from Ward number 13.
10:25 am: AAP candidate Yogesh Dhingra won from Ward no. 25. This seat was crucial for BJP as it was BJP president Arun Sood's ward.
10:20 am: From Ward no. 1, AAP candidate Jaswinder Kaur won with a margin of 1009 votes. She bagged 3319 votes while BJP's Manjit Kaur got 2310 votes and Congress' Monika got 2200 votes.
