The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh have increased to 13,920 after 72 new cases of COVID-19 were reported.

Amongst the new cases, 41 are male cases and 31 are female cases.
- A 76 year old female R/o sector 41, a case Carcinoma with Metastasis, who tested COVID positive, has expired at PGIMER on 23-10-2020.
- A 52 year old female R/o Dhanas, a case of SARI, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, has expired at GMCH 32 on 22-10-2020.
According to the media bulletin issued by the
Chandigarh Health Department,
Active cases in Chandigarh have spiked to 697 cases.

A total of 85 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic as per
MoHFW guidelines.
