Diljit Chandigarh concert: After Telangana, Chandigarh body issues advisory barring singer from These songs

PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is all set to perform in the 'city beautiful'. However Diljit's Chandigarh leg of Dil-luminati tour has hit a roadblock. After Telangana, now Chandigarh body has issued advisory for the singer ahead of his concert in the city. 

While Diljit's concert has drawn massive gathering, his upcoming show at Sector 34 n Chandigarh has been found in the middle of controversy. Chandigarh Child Rights has issued a set of directives and restrictions for the singer before his show. 

Key restrictions in the advisory:

• Singer prohibited from singing songs promoting alcohol, drugs, violence or guns even with a  5 tara, patiala peg, etc.
• A ban on modifying these songs in order to bypass the restrictions
• Prohibited to invite children on stage during performance
• Alcohol not t be served to individuals under the age of 25

The latest advisory follows similar concerns raised during Diljit's concerts in Hyderabad and Delhi warning him against the promotion of alcohol and drugs. In Hyderabad, Diljit while adhering to the advisory tweak the lyrics of the song replacing the word alcohol with 'coke' prompting the Chandigarh authorities to additional restriction while banning the singer from modifying lyrics.
