Centre to develop Kartarpur Sahib corridor upto international border,India urges Pak Govt to develop corridor on its side
Paving way for opening up of international border for pilgrims intending to visit Kartarpur Sahib on 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev ji , Indian government has decided to build and develop Kartarpur Sahib corridor from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district to international border and has also urged Pakistan government to reciprocate and develop a corridor with suitable facilities in their territory.
In landmark decision, the Cabinet approves building and development of Kartarpur corridor from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district to International Border.The Kartarpur corridor will provide smooth and easy passage to pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib throughout the year.
In a another major decision, the Union Cabinet decided to develop historic town of Sultanpur Lodhi as heritage town.

The Government of India has decided to celebrate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Devji in 2019 throughout the country and worldwide, in grand and befitting manner.
