Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir), March 30: A burqa-clad woman hurled a bomb at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in Sopore on Tuesday. The incident was caught on camera, a clip of which has gone viral on the internet. The woman in the viral video has been identified and will be arrested soon, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Wednesday. "The woman who hurled a bomb at the CRPF bunker in Sopore yesterday has been identified. She will be arrested soon," Kumar said. In the CRPF's CCTV footage, the women can be seen fleeing from the spot after hurling the bomb. Woman hurls bomb at CRPF bunker The fire caused due to the bomb was doused immediately and no injuries have been reported. Further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, two terrorists from the outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) — former journalist Rayees Ahmad Bhat and C category terrorist Hilal Ah Rah — were killed in an encounter in Srinagar's Rainawari region ON Wednesday. Rayees Ahmad Bhat previously worked as a journalist and ran the 'ValleyNews' online news portal. "Bhat had terrorist ranks in 2021. Two FIRs were already registered against him for terror crimes," the police said. Woman hurls bomb at CRPF bunker The second terrorist killed in the encounter has been identified as Hilal Ah Rah of Bijbehara, a 'C' categorised terrorist, informed the Kashmir Zone Police. The two terrorists slain in the encounter, according to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar, were involved in various recent terror crimes, including civilian killings.
