Canada: Gunman kills at least 16 in Nova Scotia

In a major incident, at least 16 people were killed in a shooting rampage in Nova Scotia in Canada on Sunday, the police said. As per the report of Washington Times, the suspect has been identified as a 51-year-old man, Gabriel Wortman, who was arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police near a gas station in Enfield, Nova Scotia, Northwest of downtown Halifax. Later, the police announced that he had died. RCMP Chief Superintendent Chris Leather said that "We believe it to be one person who is responsible for all the killings and that he alone moved across the northern part of the province and committed what appears to be several homicides." Meanwhile, the President of National Police Federation Union Brian Sauve said that police personnel was among those killed in a shooting rampage while another was injured. As per the report, the 12-hour rampage ended in a car chase. Meanwhile, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that it is "a terrible situation".
