Bus conductor charred to death in massive fire at Bathinda bus stand
Bathinda, April 29: A massive fire broke out in the Bathinda bus stand on Thursday night, claiming the life of a bus conductor. The fire was reported at the district's Bhagat Bhai ka bus stand. As many as four buses were damaged in the fire incident. According to reports, the buses caught fire at around 10:15 pm on Thursday. A conductor who was sleeping inside the bus was charred to death in the incident. The deceased has been identified as Gurdas Singh, conductor of a private bus company. As per the information, two buses of New Malwa Bus Company, one bus of Jalal Bus Service and one bus of GBS Bus Service were burnt in the fire accident. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. The police have started an investigation into the matter. More information is awaited.
