Budget 2020: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is back with red-coloured ‘bahi khaata’. She will present the second budget of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance, was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "The gross GST revenue collected in the month of January, 2020 is Rs 1,10,828 crores. The total number of GSTR 3B Returns filed for the month of December up to January 31, 2020, is 83 lakh.

Finance Minister and her Budget team will meet President Ram Nath Kovind ahead of Budget 2020. The Cabinet meeting is going to be held at 10:15 am on Saturday in the Parliament, ahead of the presentation of Union Budget 2020-21. Earlier on Saturday, Ministry of State for Finance (MoS) Anurag Thakur offered prayers at his residence, ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget 2020-21 in the Parliament.

Anurag Thakur said "Modi government believes in 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas'. We received suggestions from across the country. The government is making efforts that this budget is good for all."
