Ramzan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, involves rigorous fasting for about 30 days.
During this month, Muslims refrain from eating or drinking from dawn to dusk. They eat Sehri (a pre-dawn meal) and then break their day-long fast in the evening with 'Iftar.'
Eid ul-Fitr is observed on the first day of Shawwal, the Islamic lunar calendar's tenth month.
The festival is celebrated by sharing a delectable delicacy called Seviyan (Vermicelli), which comes in several varieties such as 'Hath Ka Seviyan,' 'Nammak Ka Seviyan,' 'Chakle Ka Seviyan,' and 'Laddu Seviyan.' All of these varieties can be used in the dish known as 'Sheerkurma,' which is also prepared on Eid and distributed to friends and family.
