BJP releases second list of candidates for 2019 Lok Sabha Polls The Bhartiya Janta Party announced 36 more names for upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The second list was announced late on Friday night. The names were decided in a meeting where the Central Election Committee of BJP met under the presidency of Amit Shah. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. It also contained 6 candidates for Maharashtra 5 for Odisha and 1 each for Assam and Meghalaya. BJP national spokesperson, Sambit Patra, will also contest the general elections from Puri parliamentary constituency in Odisha. The seven-phase polling will start on April 11 and conclude on May 19. - PTC NEWS
