Chandigarh love affair: Woman succumbs to burn injuries, paramour arrested
Chandigarh love affair: In an alarming and horrific incident, a young woman succumbed to burn injuries after she attempted to take life by pouring chemicals on herself reportedly due to a love affair.
The deceased identified as Rani was a resident of Punjab’s Kharar. She worked as a housekeeping worker and was involved in a love affair with a man named Vishal.
The disturbing incident unfolded at a park near Chandigarh Sector 35 petrol pump. The incident took place when Rani expressed her desire to marry Vishal, however, Vishal declined the proposal, which prompted Rani to take this step.

The incident stirred tension, chaos and panic in the Chandigarh Sector 35 area. Rani succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at PGIMER for severe injuries sustained from the self-killing attempt.
As per the sources, Rani and Vishal had been in a love affair for six years and the refusal of marriage from Vishal seemingly led to a tragic turn of events.
In response to the incident, an investigation has been initiated by the authorities, with a case registered by the police. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine any further actions that need to be taken.
