Bhunder awarded religious punishment for addressing Badal with "Badshah-Darvesh" title
Parliamentarian Balwinder Singh Bhunder was today presented before Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Punjab for his remake wherein he addressed Badal with "Badshah-Darvesh" title. As a part of the punishment he Has been asked to perform religious services at the Takht, along with serving in the community kitchen one hours every day for the next three days. He will also do 11 Japji Sahib path along with offering degh at the Takht on the 3rd day. Earlier, observing sharp resentment among the Sikh community about his mistake of addressing Badal with “Badshah – Darvesh” title, the parliamentarian Balwinder Singh Bhunder has apologized for his mistake. In a visual apology, Bhunder claimed that he committed this mistake in innocence for which he apologizes before Guru Sahib and the Sikh community. A former member of SAD’s working committee named S. Gursewak Singh Harpalpur had even lodged complaint against Bhunder in Sohana police station of Mohali. Seeking registration of an FIR against Bhunder, Harpalpur had said in the complaint that Bhunder hurt Sikh sentiments by terming Badal as “Badshah – Darvesh”. -PTC News
