Bhagwant Mann to be Aam Aadmi Party's CM face in Punjab
AAP CM candidate: Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday named Bhagwant Mann as AAP's chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022. This announcement holds importance ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022. "Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur constituency in Punjab Bhagwant Mann will be the party's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections," said Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal said Bhagwant Mann got 93.3 percent votes in their survey and Navjot Singh Sidhu got 3.6 percent votes. He also announced that Mann will contest Punjab polls from Dhuri constituency. Last week, Arvind Kejriwal had asked the people of Punjab to suggest names of their preferred choice for the chief ministerial candidate and launched a mobile number for the purpose. Punjab will go to the polls in a single phase on February 20 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.
