BCCI President Sourav Ganguly under home quarantine after elder brother Snehasish tests positive for coronavirus
The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s elder brother and Joint secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Snehasish Ganguly tested positive for COVID-19. Due to a spike in coronavirus cases, Sourav Ganguly was looking after all BCCI work from an office near his residence. Meanwhile, the shooting for his popular Bengali TV show ‘Dadagiri Unlimited Season Eight’ hasn't resumed yet. Snehasish has been admitted to Belle Vue hospital in Kolkata after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. A CAB official said that he was suffering from fever for the last few days while his test report came positive today. Earlier, the chief of the Cricket Association of Bengal, Avishek Dalmiya also went under home quarantine as he met Snehasish on Friday during a visit to the Eden Gardens. Dalmiya had also said that Snehasish is having a mild temperature and that he is "alright." He also said that these are tough times and Snehasish admitted himself at a city hospital. Other than having mild temperature, he is alright and I wish him a speedy recovery, Avishek had said. On Thursday, India reported 32,695 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally to 9,68,876 cases. The active cases in the country stand at 3,31,146. -PTC News
