Baba Ka Dhaba owner admitted to hospital following a suicide attempt
The social media sensation and owner of “Baba Ka Dhaba”, the 80-year-old Kanta Prasad, has been admitted to New Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital following a suicide bid, several reports said on Thursday.
Recently, the 'Baba Ka Dhaba' owner was in the news as he returned to his original spot after trying out a restaurant format.

The Baba Ka Dhaba owner Prasad and his wife became a sensation after their story went viral on social media.

The police was informed of an aged man attempting suicide who was discovered to be Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad.
Badami Devi, the wife of Baba Ka Dhaba's Kanta Prasad, said that "I don't know anything, I don't know what did he eat. I had not seen. He fell unconscious, I was sitting at the dhaba. I brought him here. The doctor has not told us anything so far. I don't know what was going on in his mind."
Likewise, the police rushed to the spot and found that he was Kanta Prasad. He is currently undergoing treatment at Safdarjung hospital. His wife said that he had been depressed for the last few days.
In 2020, Kanta had filed a complaint against YouTuber Gaurav Wasan for allegedly withdrawing money that was raised to help the couple overcome their pandemic outbreak.
Prasad and his wife became an overnight sensation after their efforts to run a roadside dhaba went viral on social media. A social media user had posted a video showing an aged couple in tears because of the COVID that made their dhaba business slowdown.
