Ayushmaan Health Insurance Scheme resumes at private hospitals in Punjab
Chandigarh, May 18: Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Vijay Singla have assured the delegation of Punjab Chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA) to expedite the payment of arrears under Ayushman Health Insurance Scheme.
During the meeting, Dr. Singla, after patient hearing to the grievances of the doctors of private hospitals treating the people under the Ayushman Health Insurance Scheme, said that the scheme would be implemented in more efficient manner by removing the hindrances inherited by the previous government. On the occasion, the Health Minister urged to the IMA to start the work of treating the people under the Ayushman Insurance Scheme in public interest as soon as possible. Speaking on the occasion, IMA Punjab Chapter President Dr. Paramjit Mann assured the Health Minister that the treatment of patients under Ayushman Health Insurance Scheme in the state would be started by the doctors of private hospitals from tomorrow. In the meeting, among others, Dr. SPS Sooch, Dr. R.S. Bal, Dr. Manoj Sobti, Dr. R.S. Parmar, Dr. Rakesh Vig, Dr. Janak Raj Singla, Dr. Bhagwant Singh, Dr. Sunil Katiyal Dr. Sanjeev Mittal Dr.Ashish Ohri, Dr. Sarabjit Singh and Dr. Divyansh Gupta was present.
