Maruti Suzuki Launches Invicto MPV: Powerful hybrid, stylish design, and advanced features
PTC News Desk: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Invicto MPV, priced at Rs 24.79 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, India). The flagship product comes in two trims - Zeta and Alpha - and offers two seating configurations. Built alongside the Toyota Innova Hycross at Toyota's Bidadi plant, the Invicto is the eighth addition to Maruti Suzuki's Nexa dealership.
The Invicto shares most of its design language with the Innova Hycross. It features a slightly different grille, distinctive headlights with Nexa's three-block signature daytime running lamps, and a unique front bumper with faux skid plates. The main difference in profile lies in the design of the 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Invicto's tail-lights also carry Nexa's three-block design.
The Invicto's interior resembles the Innova Hycross, with an all-black cabin complemented by Champagne Gold accents. It offers seven- and eight-seat configurations, and with the third row folded down, it provides a boot space of 239 litres, expandable to 690 litres.
Notable features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, a powered driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and over 50 Suzuki Connect features. Safety features comprise six airbags, ABS, electronic parking brake, stability control, and hill start assist.
The Invicto houses a strong-hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine coupled to an electric motor, producing a combined output of 184hp. It is paired with an e-CVT transmission and offers an electric-only mode. With a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.24kpl, the Invicto achieves a 0-100kph run in 9.5 seconds. It adopts the Toyota Innova Hycross' TNGA-C 'High' platform with a transversely mounted engine sending power to the front wheels.
The Invicto directly competes with the Toyota Innova Hycross and can be compared to other three-row SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.
