Maruti Suzuki Jimny launched; know prices in India, features and more
Maruti Suzuki Jimny is now available in India. The price of its five-door SUV, which was first shown at Auto Expo 2023, has now been unveiled by the auto manufacturer. Since its unveiling, the Mahindra Thar rival has received a tremendous response from buyers.
The base variant of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny costs 12.74 lahks (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny (5-door) will be available in Zeta and Alpha variants, with both automatic and manual transmission options. According to the automaker, the SUV takes forward NEXA's design concept of 'Crafted Futurism,' boosting the three core pillars of NEXpression, NEXtech, and NEXperience.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny is powered by 1.5L K-series engine with Idle Start Stop and is capable of delivering maximum power of 77.1kW@6000rpm and max torque of 134.2Nm@4000rpm.
The SUV has 210mm of ground clearance (unladen). It has a fuel efficiency of 16.94km/l for the 5-speed MT and 16.39km/l for the 4-speed AT.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny is equipped with an ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) system with a low-range transfer gear (4L mode) to provide extreme off-road ability.
Interiors
The interior of the SUV includes a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment centre with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Jimny premium sound acoustic tuning via "Surround Sense," which is powered by "ARKAMYS."
The inside is predominantly black, with silver inserts highlighting functional elements.
Jimny has a spacious boot and a wide rear opening.
Exterior
The SUV has a body-on-frame design with squared body proportions on the outside. It has a sturdy body built with upright A-pillars and a flat clamshell bonnet. LED projector headlamps with washers are available. Bumpers have angled edges to increase wheel room for agile manoeuvring.
6 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist function, electronic stability program (ESP), brake limited slip differential, hill hold control, hill descent control, side-impact door beams, and 3-point emergency locking are standard features on all Maruti Suzuki Jimny variants.
Other safety features available on the SUV include retractor seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, seatbelts, pretensioner, and a rearview camera. Jimny is also built on Suzuki's own Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) platform, which provides enhanced safety performance.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in seven different colours, including five monotone tones and two dual-tone variants. Pearl Arctic White, Bluish Black, Sizzling Red, Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black roof, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black roof, Nexa Blue, and Granite Grey are the colours.
