Arvind Kejriwal promises corruption-free Himachal, holds roadshow in Mandi
Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), April 6: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday launched its election campaign in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh with a roadshow of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. Addressing a gathering, Arvind Kejriwal said, “We do not know how to do politics, but we certainly know how to open schools and wipe off corruption.” Also read | India's economy likely to grow by 7.5% in 2022-23, say ADB Addressing the gathering from an open jeep, he said the people of the state gave 30 years to the Congress and 17 years to the BJP. However, these parties only looted Himachal Pradesh. He asked the people of the state to give him five years. "If you are not satisfied, you can change us,” he said.
In his satirical style, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “Ki haal hain Mandi waleyon? (How are you, Mandi people) I have performed several times here during Shivratri festival.” As soon as he started the address, slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', 'Inquilab Zindabad' and 'Jo Bole So Nihaal' rent the air. The roadshow with song ‘Mera Rang de Basanti Chola,’ started from Victoria Bridge to Seri Manch.
