Amritsar blast: Rajnath reviews country's security situation
Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, on Monday reviewed the country’s security situation in the wake of the blast in Amritsar. In the blast, three people were killed and 20 others were injured.
Security agencies and senior officials of Home Ministry briefed Rajnath Singh on the grenade blast inside the Nirankari Bhavan's prayer hall on Sunday. The police is not ruling out the terrorist angle here.
The Home Ministry directed the officials to help the Punjab Government in their investigation. Rajnath also directed the officials to provide assistance in tracing and nabbing the accused.
A team of National Investigation Agency has already visited the blast site along with their explosive experts. On Sunday, two motorcycle-borne men threw a grenade inside the Nirankari Bhavan's prayer hall at Adliwal village, Amritsar. It killed three people including a preacher and twenty others were injured.
