Wrong image used in govt's homage to Sikh martyrs; Punjab Lok Cong slams CM Bhagwant Mann
Punjab, September 12: Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's Punjab Lok Congress on Monday took a dig at CM Bhagwant Mann over using the wrong picture while paying tribute to Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh battalion who fought bravely in the Saragarhi battle.
Notably, while paying homage to the soldiers of the 36th Sikh battalion, the picture of the British officers and soldiers of the 20th Bengal infantry was used.
"Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann pays tribute to the brave soldiers of the 36th Sikh Battalion," read the ad, displaying the picture of British officers and soldiers of the 20th Bengal infantry.
