Another assassination attempt foiled? US charges Iranian man for plotting Trump's murder
The accused has been identified as Farhad Shakeri who is an iranian asset and was tasked by the Iranian regim to orchestrate Trump's assassination plot.
PTC News Desk: After surviving two assassination attempts, America's president elect Donald Trump has apparantly evaded another threat to his life. The Justice Department has charged an Iranian man for allegedly plotting murder of Donald Trump. The Republican leader has already survived an attempt on his life where he was shot at a rally and a bullet went straight piercing his ear.
The accused has been identified as Farhad Shakeri who is an iranian asset and was tasked by the Iranian regim to orchestrate Trump's assassination plot.
"The Justice Department has charged an asset of the Iranian regime who was tasked by the regime to direct a network of criminal associates to further Iran's assassination plots against its targets, including President-elect Donald Trump," said Attorney General Merrick B Garland.
According to FBI director Christopher Wray, Iran continues to target US citizens and other leaders and government officials including Donald Trump. The investigation reveals that the acused had immigrated to US when he was a child but later deported in 2008 following his conviction in arobbery case.
Shakeri has also been indicted for hiring two men in New York whom he had met in prison, to kill a US citizen of Iranian origin who had publicly opposed the Iranian government.
