UK: Hyderabad woman stabbed to death by Brazilian flatmate in London's Wembley
Kontham Tejaswini was in London for higher studies; anther woman hospitalised with stab injuries
PTC Web Desk: A student from Hyderabad has been allegedly murdered by her Brazilian flatmate in London's Wembley. The deceased has been identified as Kontham Tejaswini. She died on the spot. Another woman was taken to a hospital with stab injuries.
As per reports on various media platforms, the 27-year-old woman woman from Hyderabad was stabbed to death. Kontham Tejaswini was in London for higher studies. The incident took place at a residential property around 10 am on Tuesday.
As per the Metropolitan Police, another woman (28), was shifted taken to hospital with multiple stab injuries.
As per Tejaswini's cousin, the accused was a Brazilian national, who had shifted to the shared accommodation about a week ago. Tejaswini had gone to London in March last year.
A statement from the police said, "Two persons, a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of murder. The man is in custody while the woman has been released without further action."
Another suspect (23) has also been arrested. The Metropolitan Police had released an image of Brazilian national, identified as Keven Antonio Lourenco De Morais, and sought the public help in tracing him.
"He was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody at a north London police station," the Met Police said. However, the police did not name him again as he could now be named only if he was charged, says a news agency.
