PTC News Desk: The Kremlin on Monday rejected reports that US President-elect Donald Trump had talked with Russian President Vladimir Putin in recent days, saying Putin had no concrete plans of speaking with Trump.
The Washington Post initially reported the conversation, citing unidentified sources, and said Trump told Putin not to escalate the Ukraine war.
"This is completely untrue. This is pure fiction, it's just false information. There was no conversation," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"This is the most obvious example of the quality of the information that is being published now, sometimes even in fairly reputable publications," Peskov added.
When asked if Putin had a plan of meeting with Trump, Peskov responded, "There are no concrete plans yet."
