Yoga strengthens these sentiments, expands our inner vision, and connects us with a consciousness that fosters unity among all living beings, creating a foundation for love, the Prime Minister expressed.

"We must eliminate our contradictions, blockages, and resistances through Yoga. We need to present the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Excellent India) as an example to the world," Modi added.

This visit marks the first leg of PM Modi's inaugural state visit to the United States, invited by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, described this year's yoga celebration as a truly unique occasion. She highlighted that it was PM Modi who envisioned International Yoga Day and ensured its annual celebration on June 21. The recognition and mandate by the United Nations further enhance the significance of this event.

"The convergence of the visionary leader and the United Nations is, in itself, very unique," Kamboj remarked, acknowledging the historical nature of PM Modi's presence at the United Nations.
