PTC News Desk: India's national security advisor Ajit Doval held a telephonic conversation with his US counterpart Jake Sullivan discussing critical regional security developments and emphasising the necessity for ongoing efforts to bolster stability in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
The conversation highlighted growing strategic partnership between Indian and US marked by shared democratic values and mutual interests. The two leaders "welcomed progress in the bilateral partnership, including through the upcoming Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) Intersessional and Indian Ocean Dialogue."
They also explored avenues for enhanced collaboration in pivotal areas such as clean energy supply chains and defence cooperation, reflecting a commitment to deepen ties amid evolving global challenges.
India-US relations have transformed into a "global strategic partnership," emphasizing shared democratic values and aligned interests across multiple sectors. In September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Joe Biden during the Quad Summit in Delaware, where they explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation on mutual interests and discussed global and regional matters, including the Indo-Pacific region. PM Modi expressed gratitude for President Biden's significant efforts in advancing the India-US partnership.
