Avtar Singh Khanda dies: Mastermind of Indian high commission attack in London and close aide of Amritpal Singh, Avtar Singh Khanda, has died in the UK, sources informed on Thursday.

Reportedly, Khanda is the head of the London unit of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) and is the son of KLF terrorist Kulwant Singh Khukhrana.

Khanda is believed to have groomed Amritpal and also propped him up in Punjab as the leader of ‘Waris Punjab De’ after its founder Deep Sidhu died in a car crash. 

According to a recent report from News18, Khanda was hospitalised in London, with sources alleging that he is suffering from blood cancer. Khanda was in the early stages of blood cancer and his body got poisoned due to complications arising out of cancer, according to sources. Sources added that he was on life support at a multi-speciality hospital.
