PTC News Desk: India on Friday issued a fresh advisory for its citizens travelling to Iran or Israel, asking them to remain vigilant due to the ongoing conflict between the two nations.
Israel and Iran have allowed commercial aircraft to operate in their airspace. However, it is uncertain if the airspace will be open as long as the conflict in the area continues.
In response to a media query about the travel advisory for Iran and Israel, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, "We continue to closely monitor the situation in the region. We have also noted that Iran and Israel have opened their airspace for several days now." "We advise Indian nationals to remain vigilant while travelling to these countries and be in touch with the Indian embassy."
Iran fired nearly a hundred missiles towards Israel last month. Most of them were intercepted.
Meanwhile, Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have escalated regular cross-border strikes over the last six months, coinciding with the Gaza war, and their growing range and sophistication have raised fears of a larger regional conflict.
