PTC News Desk: The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the drone attack on Israeli PM Netanyahu's private residence without inflicting casualties.

The group's spokesperson, Mohammed Afif, made the announcement on Tuesday, stating, "Hezbollah declares its full, complete and exclusive responsibility for the Caesarea operation targeting Netanyahu." One of the three drones struck Netanyahu's residence. However, neither he nor his were present.

Afif also said there would be no negotiations with Israel while fighting continues and acknowledged that some Hezbollah fighters have been taken captive by the Israeli military. He also hinted that the armed group might be carrying out similar attacks in the future.

The development comes days after, PM Netanyahu accused Iran of perpetrating the drone attack and targetting him. He took to social media platform X on 19 October, saying, "The attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake. This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future." He further warned, "Anyone who tries to harm Israel’s citizens will pay a heavy price."

The incident took place on Saturday morning when a drone was struck towards Netanyahu's Caesarea residence no casualties or injuries were reported. According to the Israeli military, the drone was launched from Lebanon.
