Elon Musk to step down as Twitter CEO: Elon Musk, the world's richest man, has announced his resignation as CEO of Twitter. Musk stated that he would resign after finding a replacement. According to a Bloomberg source familiar with the situation, he is actively seeking a replacement.
"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," Musk said on Twitter.

This is the first time Musk has mentioned stepping down as CEO of the social media platform after Twitter users overwhelmingly voted for him to step down in a poll launched by the billionaire on Sunday evening.
Musk had asked people if he should step down as CEO of Twitter. He also promised to "abide by the results" of the poll. According to the poll results, 57.5% of respondents support Musk stepping down.
