'Let that sink in': Elon Musk shares a throwback picture with Twitter takeover moment

The billionair's post also mounts speculation of his possible position in Trump's cabinet.

PTC News Desk: As Donald Trump inches closer to victory, tech giant Elon Musk shared a edited image with a glimpse of throwback. Musk shared an image where he can be seen holding a sink with White House oval office in Background. 


The projection is a throwback when he acquired the social media platform twitter. Musk who is a Trump supporter shared the picture and said, "Let that sink in!" Musk acquired Twitter (now X) in 2022 for $44 billion. Entering Twitter HQ -- let that sink in!" Musk tweeted on October 26, 2022"


The billionair's post also mounts speculation of his possible position in Trump's cabinet. Trump has given conflicting accounts about how Musk might fit into his administration, saying that he would like the Tesla CEO to be his "secretary of cost-cutting". Trump has also categorically said that Musk won't be in his Cabinet.


Meanwhile, Trump has claimed victory as he secured win in the critical battleground states. "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate," he told supporters at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, calling it a "magnificent victory for Americans." Trump, celebrating what he described as a “never-seen-before political victory,” said the results gave him a “great feeling of love.”
