PTC News Desk: Following US Presidential candidate Donald Trump's suggestion that he might offer Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk an advisory role in his administration, Musk responded with a social media post expressing his willingness to serve.

Musk's post featured him standing in front of a podium with the words "Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)," a playful reference to Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency he has famously supported. This response came after Trump, the Republican frontrunner in the upcoming presidential race, expressed his openness to appointing Musk to a cabinet position or advisory role if elected.

On Monday, Trump, who has been critical of the $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicle (EV) purchases, indicated he might eliminate this incentive if he were to return to the White House. He mentioned Musk's potential role while addressing a campaign event in Pennsylvania, praising Musk as a "very smart guy" and a "brilliant guy." Trump emphasized his willingness to offer Musk a significant position, stating, "I certainly would, if he would do it."

Musk, who endorsed Trump for the presidency last month, has yet to provide a direct response on whether he would accept such an offer. However, his social media post has fueled speculation about his potential involvement in a future Trump administration.
