PTC Web Desk: Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of Dubai's ruler, publicly announced her divorce from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, on Instagram. This announcement comes just over two months after the couple welcomed their first child.
In her post, the Dubai princess addressed her husband directly, saying, “Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”
The announcement quickly sparked a frenzy on social media, with users noticing that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted all photos of each other from their profiles. Speculation arose about whether the couple had blocked each other, or if Shaikha Mahra's account had been hacked.
Comments flooded in under her post, with one user expressing, “Bad news. God bless you,” and another stating, “I am proud. Your decision.”
Supporters praised the princess for her courage and bravery, with one user saying, “It is just a phase of life and it will continue with good and bitterness and life doesn't stop for anybody.” However, there were also questions about the divorce process, with one person asking, “But the divorce will occur from the husband's side, right? Shaikha Mahra is known for her advocacy of women's empowerment and support for local designers in the UAE. She holds a degree in International Relations from a university in the UK and another degree from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration.
