Bangladesh Unrest: Bangladesh's former Information and Technology Minister, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, was detained at Dhaka International Airport today while attempting to leave the country. The military, now heading an interim government amid the nation's violence, detained the former minister one day after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was ousted.

Reportedly, he was stopped by airport staffers and later he was detained by officials.

This incident follows the dissolution of the Parliament by Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday, in response to an ultimatum from student protesters. After former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled to Delhi on Monday, numerous ministers and leaders from the Awami League have been attempting to leave Bangladesh to evade the protesters' anger.
