Air Canada plane catches fire hours after South Korea mishap

The incident occurs hours after a fatal plane crash in South Korea which claimed 62 lives so far and death toll is likely to rise.

PTC News Desk: Hours after fatal South Korea plane crash, an Air Canada flight caught fire following touchdown as the aircraft skid down. The aircraft made a scary landing and caught fire soon after skidding. 


The incident occurs hours after a fatal plane crash in South Korea which claimes 62 lives so far and death toll is likely to rise. 


The aircraft in question reportedly belongs to PAL Airlines which was operating Air Canada flight AC2259 between St. John’s and Halifax.


Jeju Air flight with 181 passengers on board crashed at South Korea's Muan International Airport on Sunday morning, killing at least 62 and leaving two others critically injured. According to the officials, the death toll is likely to rise.
