Air Canada flight cancelled following crew member's outburst over passenger's blanket request
The flight attendant became upset when a passenger asked for a blanket because the air conditioning was too strong. This led to a fight.
PTC News Desk: A passenger and a flight attendant got into an argument, which led to the cancellation of an Air Canada trip from Morocco to Montreal on Friday morning. The flight attendant became upset when a passenger asked for a blanket because the air conditioning was too cold, according to the New York Post. She demanded that the passenger get off the plane, yelled at them, and contacted the police.
''You will behave or we will get off!'' said the flight attendant in French. I will immediately inform the captain. Is it true or false? The flight attendant refused to call the captain when a passenger urged her to, stating, "I don't want any bullying against my crew." Then she bounded up the aisle, pivoted, and yelled, "Everyone behaves!" Keep quiet, or you're leaving.
Other travellers abandoned the flight in solidarity with the passenger, which resulted in its cancellation. Flight AC73 was taxiing to the runway before making its way back to the terminal, according to flight radar data.
The passengers will be transported to their destination on Sunday by a new crew, according to Air Canada, which confirmed that the flight was cancelled. The airline declared that they will take the necessary measures and that they are treating the situation seriously. In addition, they paid compensation for the inconvenience and expressed regret to its customers.
"We take this problem very seriously," an Air Canada spokesman continued. We are reviewing it and will proceed appropriately. We sincerely apologise to our customers for the disappointing experience they had today, which did not live up to the high standards they have become accustomed to while flying with Air Canada.
