Romero took to GoFundMe to share the heartbreaking news, revealing that Sophia was found in her US apartment on March 1 by her family. "On behalf of her mother and family, it is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia's passing," he expressed.
The sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends shattered and in disbelief, Romero conveyed, highlighting the profound emotional toll her passing has inflicted. Furthermore, he mentioned the unexpected financial strain the family is now facing, seeking support from the community through the GoFundMe campaign initiated for Sophia's memorial.
While an investigation by local authorities into the cause of her death is still underway, Romero emphasized that the circumstances surrounding Sophia's passing remain unresolved.
Sophia's modeling agency, 101 Modeling, also confirmed the tragic news, expressing their profound grief over the untimely loss of their beloved talent. "A beautiful spirit who touched many of us. RIP sweet angel and know how much we loved you. A GoFundMe has been started for her family," they shared on X.
Dispelling speculations, 101 Modeling clarified that Sophia's death was not a result of suicide but rather being investigated as a potential "home invasion homicide," further intensifying the shock and sorrow surrounding her passing.
