Pakistan blast: 20 killed, over 30 injured in Quetta railway station explosion
Emergency has been announced in the hospitals as the wounded are being provided with the necessary medical aid and additional doctors and support staff were called in to join the duty in the crisis.
PTC News Desk: At least 20 people killed and over 30 injured in a blast occurred at the Quetta Railway Station in Pakistan's Balochistan on Saturday. The explosion took place when the train was ready to depart from the Peshawar platform.
Police has launched investigation into the matter to ascertain the nature of the blast meanwhile, Quetta senior superintendent of Police (SSP) operations Mohammad Baloch said the explosion looks like a suicide blast, however it would be too soon to be sure.
Owing to the crowd at the railway station, the death toll is likely to rise further. Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said police and security forces have been deployed at the incident site. Bomb Disposal Squad was collecting evidence from the site, and a report on the incident had been sought.
