WhatsApp down, unable to send messages to groups

WhatsApp down: Services of Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp have reportedly suffered partial disruption as users are unable to send or receive messages in groups.
While there is no official response or acknowledgement from WhatsApp, there are reports that users are not being able to send or receive messages on the messaging platform.
WhatsApp outage is affecting both personal chats as well as group chats as it seems impossible to send a message. Affected regions based on Downdetector's heat-map include major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad as well as Nagpur and Lucknow among others. "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore @WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible." - a Meta Company Spokesperson said. According to the heat map displayed on the Downdetector website, user-submitted problem reports are concentrated over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, various users raised issue on Twitter and flooded it with hilarious memes. One user tweeted, "everyone's coming to twitter to see what had happened to whatsapp"
