Vikas Barala was on Friday charged with abduction in a case of stalking and attempted kidnapping.
Varnika, 29, daughter of Haryana Additional Chief Secretary VS Kundu, had alleged in a police complaint that Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar, who were drunk, had stalked and intimidated her and tried to abduct her on the night of August 4-5.
Their repeated bail pleas have been rejected by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajnish Kumar Sharma.
The two accused have been in judicial custody since their arrest on August 9.
Both were booked under non-bailable offences, including attempt to abduct Kundu under Section 365 and Section 511 of the Indian Penal Code.
