UPSC lists anomalies in Punjab's panel of IPS officers for DGP post
Amid the controversy over the appointment of IPS officer Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota as the officiating DGP of Punjab, the state government had sent a panel of 10 IPS officers to the UPSC for the post. However, now it has come to light that there are several anomalies in the list and the UPSC has sent back the list to the Punjab government. It is pertinent to mention that the panel was sent on October 1, thereby wasting 26 days. Meanwhile, the UPSC has asked the Punjab Government to rectify the mistakes and send the panel back.
