Diljit Dosanjh's 'Dil-Luminati' tour creates history, sells out largest ever Punjabi show outside India

It was the first time in history that a Punjabi music superstar headlined a concert at the Vancouver-based arena

Diljit Dosanjh's 'Dil-Luminati' tour : Diljit Dosanjh, known for his work in Hindi and Punjabi films, as well as his glorious singing voice shining in some of the most bombastic party anthems of the country. 

Renowned for his infectious energy and vibrant performances, Diljit make the world dance to the beat of "balle balle." 

Recently, Diljit Dosanjh scripted history   with his 'Dil-Luminati Tour' by selling out what's been hailed as the "largest ever Punjabi show outside India" during its North American leg. 

The tour commenced on Saturday night amidst much anticipation, with Dosanjh captivating over 50,000 enthusiastic concert-goers at the iconic BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada.

Diljit on Sunday took to his Instagram account to share a series of snapshots and videos from the packed show.

The series of pictures captures Dosanjh in his element, resplendent in an all-black ensemble, commanding the stage with his magnetic presence.

During the electrifying performance, Dosanjh treated the audience to a medley of his hits, including crowd favorites like "GOAT", "5 Taara", "Lover", "Kinni Kinni", and the beloved track "Ishq Mitaye" from from his recent cinematic release "Amar Singh Chamkila".  


The energy and fervor of the crowd were palpable as they revealed in the music and entertainment provided by the versatile actor-singer.

Tickets were sold off quickly, with front-row seats priced from 482.79 US dollar to 713.89 US dollar on the afternoon of the concert. Other seats commanded even higher prices, highlighting the event's popularity.

Dosanjh also shared a video on his Instagram Stories showing a massive billboard of his show with “Sold Out” written across.

“HISTORY is made. Take a bow, @diljitdosanjh,” said BC Place in a post on X.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Diljit recently starred in 'Amar Singh Chamkila' opposite Parineeti Chopra.

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, 'Amar Singh Chamkila' presents the untold true story of Punjab's original rockstar of the masses, who emerged from the shadows of poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s due to the sheer power of his music, angering many along the way, which led to his assassination at the young age of 27.

Diljit Dosanjh portrays 'Chamkila,' the top-selling artist of his era. Parineeti essays the role of Amar Singh Chamkila's wife, Amarjot Kaur.
