Chaitra Navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri, also known as Vasanta Navratri, is a nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. This year, the festival began on March 30, and will conclude with Ram Navami on April 6, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. The festival also signifies the beginning of the Hindu New Year and is widely observed across India with prayers, fasting, and rituals.

In Maharashtra, it coincides with Gudi Padwa, marking the Marathi New Year, while in South India, it aligns with Ugadi, the Telugu and Kannada New Year.
