'Tractor to Twitter': Farmer protest gets online push from Punjabis

While farmers from across the country have been protesting at the Delhi borders against the newly enacted farm laws 2020, netizens have taken to the virtual world supporting farmers’ protest with a campaign 'Tractor to Twitter'. Punjabi singers, politicians and several social media influencers are supporting the farmers' protest and running campaigns with hashtags on Twitter. Also, there are some others who have formed a WhatsApp group to organise support on Twitter. As per the report, a Ludhiana-based Bhavjit Singh said that "We will bring over 25,000 new users on Twitter to reply to propaganda machinery of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The only difference would be that ours will be real people."
