UPSC CAPF recruitment 2024: Assistant commandant exam date announced, check the schedule

On August 4, 2024 is the date set by the official schedule for the UPSC CAPF examination. Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, and Paper II from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

PTC News Desk: The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandant test date has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The official timetable states that the exam will take place on August 4, 2024. Paper I (general ability and intelligence) will be administered from 10 am to noon, and Paper II (general studies, essay, and comprehension) from 2 pm to 5 pm. The test will be administered in two shifts.

The UPSC hopes to fill 506 positions for Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) through the recruiting campaign. The exam schedule for UPSC CAPF 2024 is available on the commission's official websites, upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in, for those who applied.

Details of the vacancy for UPSC CAPF RECRUITMENT 2024

186 openings in the Border Security Force (BSF)

120 openings in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Vacancies in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100

58 openings for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Seema Bal Sashastra (SB): 42

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR UPSC CAPF RECRUITMENT 2024

There are two papers in the written UPSC CAPF recruitment exam. When choosing the final exam, candidates' performance in each round will be taken into account. The following stages must be completed by candidates in order to be chosen for Assistant Commandant:

— Written Test

— Examination

— Conversation

Each Paper will have a minimum qualifying mark that is determined at the Commission's discretion. According to the official notification, Paper-I will be assessed first, and only applicants who receive the required minimum number of points in Paper-I will be reviewed for Paper-II.
