The confiscated items include three parcels of narcotics, enveloped in yellow adhesive tape, with strong suspicions of being heroin
Chandigarh, September 27: In a successful operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted and seized 1.5 kilograms of narcotics that had been dropped by a drone near the International Border in the Amritsar sector on Tuesday evening.
Around 7:30 pm, BSF personnel stationed at the border heard the sound of an object being dropped in the vicinity of the border fence near Daoke village. Following a thorough search, troops discovered three packets of narcotics wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, strongly suspected to be heroin. Additionally, a purple-colored polyester bag was found just ahead of the border fence, reported a BSF officer.
This incident followed an earlier one on Tuesday morning when the BSF had apprehended an individual near the same village and recovered 700 grams of narcotics that had been dropped by a drone in the adjacent fields.
